Privacy and data handling
What Siktora stores, why, where and for how long. Written to be understood.

Short version: We store the presentations you upload and statistics about how they are viewed, in Sweden. We never sell data, show no ads and train no AI models on your content. On the free plan, presentations are deleted automatically after 3 days.
Data controller
Siktora is the controller for account data. For data about viewers collected through your share links (for example email addresses and viewing time), you as the person sharing the presentation are the controller and Siktora is your processor.

We do not store the viewer's IP address in analytics and use no third-party tracking cookies, no ad networks and no third-party analytics.
Where data is stored
All data is stored and processed in Microsoft Azure, region Sweden Central. The AI features use Azure OpenAI through our own Azure resource. Microsoft does not use the content to train models. Email is sent through Azure Communication Services.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach Siktora's servers. We only learn the plan, status, amount and billing details such as name, country and any VAT number.
Cookies
- siktora_session: keeps you signed in (30 days).
- sk_vid: random id to count unique viewers (12 months).
- sk_g_…: remembers that you entered the right password or code for a specific link (30 days).
- sk_lang: remembers the language (English or Swedish) you chose (12 months).
- sk_src: remembers how you first found Siktora (campaign, referring domain or invite) until you sign up (60 days). Only set on our own pages, never on shared presentations.
All cookies are necessary for the service to work. We have no marketing cookies and never share the data with ad networks.
Your rights
You can download your presentations and delete your account at any time under Settings. Deletion removes presentations, files, links, analytics and keys immediately. Backups of stored files are purged within 7 days. If you are a viewer and want your data removed, contact the person who shared the presentation, or us.
Sub-processors
- Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd (Azure): hosting, storage, email and AI, within the EU.
- Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (Ireland): payments and invoices. Stripe may transfer data to the US based on the EU standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
